Andrea Bonaceto, Italian contemporary artist and one of the world’s most successful NFT artists, has launched a new interactive NFT artwork titled AB Infinite 1 built on the Algorand blockchain. The work represents an interactive snapshot of Bonaceto’s life in the eternal cycle that goes “ab infinite” (Latin for “from infinity”) to the origin, symbolised by the number “1”.

AB Infinite 1 invites members of the public to become artists themselves by altering the digital artwork through a specially designed AI mechanism. Bonaceto’s AI is user-friendly and collects viewer interactions through social media channels. Users then become part of this piece by having their reactions or suggestions turned into visual responses which appear as part of AB Infinite 1.

AB Infinite 1 was auctioned at Christie’s 20th / 21st Century: London Evening Sale on the 13th of October 2022.

The pre-sale exhibition at Christie’s Headquarters on London’s King Street took place from the 6th to the 13th of October 2022. In advance of its sale, AB Infinite 1 was exhibited at Museo Della Permanente in Milan during DART 2121, at W1 Curates in London and at Times Square in New York on the iconic 30,000 sq. billboard “Big Kahuna”.
