1969: THE MOON LANDING

Space exploration is a metaphor for researching the human identity through the infinity of the cosmos.

“1969: The Moon Landing” is a celebration of the 1969 moon landing mission.
In this collection, Andrea merges his iconic portraits together with abstract landscapes and poetry.

The auction piece is a collaboration with Corriere Della Sera, Italy’s most read newspaper. Andrea reinterpretated the historic Corriere Della Sera front page covering the moon landing mission as a programmable art piece, that will transform to its final state once humans go back to the moon.

As part of this collection, other artworks include the astronauts’ portraits who led the moon landing mission: Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins.

The last piece, which is only reserved to Andrea’s collectors, is an illustrated poem written by Andrea titled “Aspettando un treno a Palmira” (translated as “Waiting for a train in Palmira”). Poetry represents the ultimate research of human identity, in the universe of our introspection.
