Andrea Bonaceto’s 2021 drop on Nifty Gateway is an ode to humankind’s perennial fascination with the cosmos and to the trail-blazers who make space exploration possible. The series pairs Bonaceto’s signature colour-shifting gradients with programmable smart-contract logic to create portraits of both past and present pioneers, from Yuri Gagarin and Valentina Tereshkova to Elon Musk and Yusaku Maezawa, at the very moment the world prepares for a new multi-planetary era.

The highlight of the collection, The Aliens and I, is a 1/1 programmable NFT designed to evolve if the artist ever travels beyond Earth. Should that journey occur, the token will automatically transform into a fresh, in-orbit reinterpretation drawn by Bonaceto himself, turning the artwork into a living record of the voyage.
