I have always been fascinated by space exploration and extraterrestrial life. At elementary school I wrote a short story titled “Io e Gli Alieni” (The Aliens and I), were my parents and I were kidnapped by harmless aliens just to be asked about our habits on earth. We were then safely sent back home. That short story is somewhere part of the abstract piece that will be sold at auction during this event.
The auction piece is titled “The Aliens and I”. It is a programmable art piece that will change if I happen to go in space during my lifetime - the piece will change into a new piece I will be drawing while on space, reinterpreting the original “The Aliens and I” piece with a new prospective.
“2021: A Space Odyssey” is a homage to the pioneers of space exploration, as we approach a new phase of space discoveries that will most likely lead to human beings being a multi-planetary sources.
The other pieces part of the NFT sale are portraits of today space pioneers such as Elon Musk and Yusaku Maezawa and space pioneers of the past such as the first man and woman in space, Yuri Gagarin and Valentina Tereshkova. These pieces will be sold as a series of multiple editions.
